(Ellie arrive a Degrassi se claque le bras avec un elastique et rentre.)

Dans une salle de retenue Mr Raditch arrive.

Mr Raditch : Bonjour a tous, je suis content que vous aillais pu venir par ce beau samedi ensoleillé, bien sur  vous n’avez pas tellement le choix, bienvenue en retenue, pas de bavardage, pas de chewing-gum, défense de se levé ou de mettre les pieds sur les tables, de se faire les ongles, de manger avant que je ne vous y autorise, il y a un laisser-passé pour les toilettes que vous devez toujours avoir sur vous, vous avez une demi heure pour le déjeuner le reste du temps doit être consacré au devoirs, profités en aussi pour réfléchir sur votre comportement, prenez garde je vous surveille je vois tous et j’entend tous.(il s’en va et Sean rote)J’ai entendu Mr Cameron.

Générique

Dans la salle de retenue Sean joue avec une balle de tennis en la lançant contre le mur.

Jimmy : Ta fini de faire l’andouille ?

Sean : Et toi depuis quand tu te prends pour Raditch.

(Il lance la balle au plafond et fait tomber une plaque sur le sac a Ellie.)

Ellie : En plein sur mon sac, bravo !

Sean : Il y a quelque chose de casser ?

(Ils regardent tous le trou dans le plafond.)

On voit Mr Raditch boire de l’eau dans un couloir

Dans la salle de retenue Ellie, Hazel, Sean, Toby et Jimmy essais de remettre la plaque.

Hazel : Un petit poil à gauche. Non j’ai dit à gauche Toby.

Toby : Je fais se que je peux.

Sean : Tu veux sa place princesse ?

Jimmy : Elle essais de nous aidé alors fiché lui la paix.

Toby : J’ai le vertige les gars.

Sean : Tais-toi et pose se truc.

Toby : Mais arrête de gigoté j’y arriverai jamais sinon.

(Ils tombent tous les trois de la table.)

Hazel : Est-ce que ça va ?

Jimmy : Au moins elle est remise en place.

(Ellie tent  sa main a Sean pour le relevé. Mr Raditch rentre.)

Mr Raditch : Vous là-bas, vous au font la bas dans le coin, les filles au milieu.

(Un peu plus tard Hazel regarde l’horloge.)

Hazel : Dite-moi que cette pendule ne marche pas, bah quoi certain parmi on des engagements.

Sean : Ah, je vois Paige a besoin que tu lui lèche les bottes avant qu’elle sorte c’est sa ?

Jimmy : Mais la en veilleuse.

Sean : Et toi est-ce que tu peux me m’expliqué comment mademoiselle conformiste et ta petite amie c’est retrouvé en colle ? Moi j’ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que je suis en colle 8 semaines d’affilé pour comportement antisocial.

Hazel : Sa ne m’étonne pas de toi et je ne suis pas sa petite amie.

Ellie : J’ai séché les cours, bah oui je n’avais pas envie d’y allé.

Jimmy : Bravo c’est super comme histoire sa.

Sean : La tienne est meilleur ?

Jimmy : Je devrais être au concert de l’année aujourd’hui mais …

Toby : J’ai piraté l’ordinateur du bahut pour changer sa moyenne on c’est fait pincer.

Jimmy : Non tu t’es fait pincer et puis tu ma balancer.

Sean : Peut importe, et toi Hazel ?

Hazel : Pourquoi je suis la d’après toi ?

Toby : Tes chaussures était pas assortie a ton sac a main ?

Hazel : Oué c’est sa, je sors une minute.

(Sean regarde Ellie se claqué le bras avec un élastique.)

Hazel rentre dans le gymnase et surprend Mr Raditch faisant du sport avec un ballon.

 

Mr Raditch : C’est un ballon suisse, il vien de suisse.

Hazel : Je vous crois.

Mr Raditch : Qu’est –ce que vous faites ici ?

(elle lui montre le laisser-passé)

 

Hazel : Bon courage !

Dans la salle de retenue

Jimmy : Aller refait-nous le vieux encore une fois.

Sean : C’est un ballon suisse.

Hazel : Sa ne m’amuse plus de limité, ni de rester entre ces murs, je m’ennui à mourir ici.

Ellie : Si on jouait, action ou vérité.

Jimmy : Vérité.

Sean : Vérité.

Ellie : Vérité, Hazel action ou vérité ?

Hazel : Vérité.

Ellie : Alors pour quel raison tu te retrouve en colle ?

Jimmy : Va si crache le morceau.

Ellie : C’est sa ou on te donne un gage, alors pourquoi tu te retrouve en colle ?

Hazel : J’ai changé d’avis je choisi action.

Jimmy : Très bien pour la peine il va falloir embrasser Toby.

Toby : Moi !!

Hazel : Jimmy !!

Sean : Oué et sur la bouche comme pour de vrai.

(Hazel se lève et va embrasser Toby.)

 

Ellie : Waouh !!

Sean : Oh la vache !!

Hazel : Sa vous va ?

Toby : Oui

(The episode starts off with Ellie walking into the school with an elastic band around her wrist. She snaps it a few times. Mr. Raditch is in the cafeteria talking with Jimmy, Hazel, Sean, and Toby, giving them the rules about Saturday detention. When he begins to leave, Sean responds with a burp.)

Raditch: I heard that, Mr. Cameron.

(After the credits, Sean is throwing a ball against the walls and he and Jimmy have an exchange of words. Sean throws the ball at the ceiling and one of tiles falls on Ellie's bag.)

Ellie: Great, you got it on my bag.

Sean: Is anything broken.

(He reaches for the bag and Ellie snatches it away.)

Out in the hallway

 

(Mr. Raditch displays his dancing skills. Back in the cafeteria, all five of the kids work together to put the tile back in the ceiling. Sean hatches a plan that leads Jimmy holding the table while Sean holds Toby up who places the tile in its correct place. Hazel is standing by, directing them. Toby begins whining about being scared of heights and when the tile is finally placed in its correct spot, they all fall down on the floor. Ellie reaches her hand out to Sean and he takes it and she helps him up. They look at each other for a moment and then Mr. Raditch busts them and instructs all of them to separate in the room. Sean walks away and Ellie stands there and looks at him.)

Hazel: Please tell me that clock is wrong!

Sean: You got plans.

Hazel: I have social engagements.

Sean: Like what' Do you have to lick Paige's boots before you go out.

(Jimmy stands up to him in Hazel's defense. The conversation shifts to why all of them are there.)

Sean: I have to be here for eight weeks. Anti-social behavior.

Hazel: Big surprise there.

(Hazel snickers under her breath.)

Sean: Why are you here?

Ellie: I was caught skipping school. (Pause) What? I didn't feel like going.

Jimmy: That's a great story, Ellie.

Sean: Do you have one any better?

(Jimmy and Toby's reasons are clear seeing that they recently got caught trying to hack into the school computer to change Jimmy’s math grade. They ask Hazel why she's there, but she hesitates and' takes the hall pass. She leaves kind of huffy and goes for a walk, ending up in the gym. She spots Mr. Raditch wearing some sweaty spandex shorts, bouncing on a huge ball, supposedly exercising. He tells her it’s a “Swiss ball from Switzerland”. When she returns to the room, all five of them are mocking Mr. Raditch. Ellie suggests that they play Truth or Dare. Everyone picks truth so naturally they all ask Hazel why she's there. Hazel changes her mind and picks Dare so Jimmy dares her to kiss Toby.' And what does she do? She marches over to Toby, sits on his lap, and kisses him.)

Hazel: Satisfied?

(Toby shakes his head.)

Toby: I'm gonna tell JT!

Hazel: You better not!

Outside

 

(We see Mr. Simpson.)

 

(Sean sits next to Ellie who covers the journal she's been keeping. It says, Sean stole some milk. She covers it up and he has a personal talk with her about rumors.)

Sean: I say you.

(Ellie looks clueless.)

Sean: Snap the elastic on your wrist. So, why?

(She doesn't answer.)

Sean: Sorry, I didn't think you were hiding it.

Ellie: It's a therapy technique. It stops me from… you know…

(Sean nods.)

Sean: So, why did you cut?

(Ellie talks about pain.)

Sean: I understand.

(The subject shifts to rumors and Ellie says something about rumors being more interesting and Sean says that he doubts it. Ellie says that they're rumors about him too.)

Sean: That I steal stuff.

Ellie: Yeah, but you don't know anything about that right?

Sean: (whispering) "Yeah… because I steal it."

(Mr. Raditch bursts into the room and Ellie clicks her tape recorder off. He yells at them and then separates them into separate rooms. Ellie is sitting alone in a classroom, listening to the part of her tape when Sean says "I do… because I steal them over and over. She takes the tape out and goes over to Hazel's classroom, explaining she can't sit there alone for three more hours. She suggests they go somewhere.)

Hazel: Your quite cool, Miss Nash.

(They leave to get the others. Later on, four of them are walking to get Sean and Jimmy suggests they leave without him.)

Ellie: No one gets left behind.

(Hazel seems like she senses that Ellie likes Sean. They get to his class and tell him to come.)

Sean: I don't do group activities.

Hazel: What if Ellie wants you to come?

Ellie: Hazel!

(She leaves. Sean stands up and goes. Then they are all walking down the hall and then doing this dance in a train to pass time. They were walking around the school and end up in a basement that they didn't know existed.' They discover an elevator that is locked.' Jimmy goes and gets the keys from the janitors closet.' They take the elevator all the way up and then see a ladder when they get out. They climb up and Toby is hugging the ladder because he's scared of heights. He gets on the roof last and is practically crawling across the ground. The others split into twos.)

Hazel: Thanks for sticking up for me with Sean.

Jimmy: No sweat.

Hazel: Do you think we're the only students who have ever been up here?

Jimmy: Nope.

(He picks up a necklace.)

Hazel: Oh, it’s so pretty. Keep it. You found it.

Jimmy: It would look better on you.

(He puts it around her neck. He leans in and kisses her.)

Hazel: What was that for?

Jimmy: For making you kiss Toby, I guess.

(They laugh about it.)

(Next we see Ellie and Sean. They are sitting on this pipe thing, and talking.)

Sean: You carry that bag everywhere, huh.

Ellie: It’s a psycho girl thing. Emphasis on psycho.

Sean: I think you're cute. (Ellie smiles.)

Sean: I guess I got to you.

Ellie: Dream on.

(Sean lays down on the roof, relaxing. Ellie lays down next to him. He asks her if she's scared of him and she asks him if she freaks him out. They both say no and Ellie reveals her cuts on her arms, which some look fresh. Sean sits up a bit, and touches the cuts, and then he moves his fingers up her arm and they hold hands and bring their arms down.)

(Cut to Toby lying on the ground. He goes to the edge and throws a rock. Then he goes back and stands up. Mr. Simpson and Mr. Raditch are on the ground talking and the principal spots Toby on the roof. Toby yells at the others that he's coming and they all run back to their classrooms, but Sean's door is locked. Jimmy comes to help, but Sean tells him to beat it, but he doesn’t. He struggles to find the right key and finally does before Raditch gets there, but he drops the keys in the hall. He leaves them and Raditch finds them.' He asks them who stole them and Toby speaks up that he took it. Raditch states his disapproval and then tells all of them to go home.)

Jimmy: Toby, that was cool.' I didn’t expect it.

Hazel: (as they slap high five) Aww, group hug.

Ellie: Wait. I've got an instant camera…

(She reaches for her bag, but drops it, causing the recording of her and Sean to go off. Sean yanks it from her and steps on it in front of her face. She tries to explain that it was for her Co-op job and that she wasn't going to use names.)

Hazel: Not cool, Ellie!

(Monday morning rolls around and Jimmy and Hazel are walking together and they say hi to Toby and JT.)

JT: What happened on Saturday?

Toby: Wouldn't you like to know?

(Then Sean and Jimmy say hey and Sean walks to his locker and Ellie is there.)

Sean: What to you want?

(She gives him the right tape and tells him there is no story.)

Ellie: She says what happened on the roof is the truth.

(Sean throws the tape in his locker.)

Sean: So I don't freak you out either.

Ellie: Not at all.

(They take each other's hand and hold them together in the air and Ellie has a huge smile.)
