While I've enjoyed reporting on Fashion Week trends for next fall, it's often challenging anticipating a season that's nearly half a year away. Due to the unrelenting wintry weather (which hardly rivals the brutal snowstorms back home, FYI), I'm still pulling from my exhausted Fall 07 wardrobe!
So now, back to spring and all its floral-patterned, wildly accessorized, and strikingly bright-colored goodness. With the April issue officially out on newsstands, I thought I'd share some of my favorite things from the magazine.
Here goes:
FASHION
Since my prom days are sadly over, I treasured this month's less formal garb. I like the trendspotting report on classic fedoras because I love hats but don't wear them enough. And I think it's interesting to see so many young, fashion-forward celebrities all photographed on one page, sporting similar daytime looks…
I'm also thrilled that Rachel Bilson is featured as the "Girl of the Moment" for April. No explanation necessary, I'm just one of her many fans.
Finally, I wish I owned the Miu Miu crystal covered pins, as seen on the "Gotta Have It: Prom Special" page. Bejeweled spiders, gekkos, and dragonflies? I die! They're too cool.
OTHER NEWS
As I continue on my noble quest for clear skin, I take interest in all relevant health and beauty articles. This month, the pieces entitled, "Face Time" and "Food For Thought" are packed with helpful skincare solutions.
Additionally, the article "Bitter Pill" addresses a particularly hot topic: the loaded question of whether or not middle schoolers should have access to birth control.
Be sure to pick up a copy of Teen Vogue's April issue, now available on newsstands. Trust me, it's a great one!
For those of you that already have this month's edition, what did you think?
